Tonecast for brands and marketing teams
For a marketing team, Tonecast answers one question every week: when people ask AI assistants about our category, do they mention us, recommend us, and describe us correctly? It samples ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity on the questions your customers ask, and shows the web pages behind each answer, so you know what to fix.
Tonecast is a SaaS platform that shows what AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity) say about a brand, product, person or topic, and which web pages shaped those answers. This page is for the person who owns the brand's reputation and reports on it: typically a marketing manager who looks at the numbers on Monday morning and presents them once a month.
Which questions does Tonecast answer for a brand?
| Question | Where the answer is |
|---|---|
| Do AI assistants mention us when people ask about our category? | AI visibility rate on the campaign Overview, by engine, language and prompt category |
| Do they recommend us, or only list us? | Recommendation view: recommendation rate per engine and prompt |
| Who do they mention instead of us? | Share of voice in AI answers against the competitors you declared |
| What tone do they take about us, and on which aspects? | Tone in AI on the Overview, and each answer in AI Answers |
| Are they quoting the right prices, features and facts? | Claims view: consistent, incorrect, outdated and unverifiable claims, with the pages that carry them |
| Which pages shaped these answers? | What shaped it: the source graph with Cited, Formative and Owned pages and their influence weight |
| Is something changing in the sources before it reaches the answers? | Early signals: none, observing or active, per engine |
| What should we do first? | Actions: the gap & action list (Starter plan and above) |
| Can I defend these numbers to management? | Methodology: sampling, confidence intervals and measured accuracy |
What does a typical week look like?
The Home screen shows every campaign as a card: the AI visibility rate over the last weeks, Tone in AI and its change, the state of the early signal and the latest relevant claim. A drop is one click away from the answers that caused it. From there, AI Answers shows the actual text, with your brand, competitors, claims and citations highlighted, and the same prompt compared across engines.
When a number moves, What shaped it shows which pages carry weight for that engine: perhaps a comparison article that now ranks for your prompts, or a discussion thread that keeps repeating an old complaint. Each page shows why it is there, its tone towards you and the claims it makes.
What if AI gets our facts wrong?
Add your fact sheet once: current prices, key features, dates, locations, and what your brand is not. Claim check compares every claim in every answer with it. An outdated price usually has a source, and often it is one of your own pages that nobody updated; Tonecast shows which page it is. It does not write the fix for you: it shows where the problem is. The guide on fixing wrong information in AI answers covers the next steps.
Does it work in several languages?
Yes. Each prompt is tracked in each language you choose, and the answers, competitors and sources are analysed per language and country. The same question in Italian and French can put different competitors first, and Tonecast shows both.
Which plan fits a brand?
Essential (€29 per month) covers one brand with 20 tracked prompts on up to 3 engines. Starter (€79 per month) adds room for a brand and a product in two languages, a fourth engine and the gap & action list. See pricing for every limit.
